The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) is an independent Tribunal which seeks to resolve disputes between parties in an informal way that is accessible, fair, just, economical, informal and quick and less costly than the Courts.

QCAT’s jurisdiction determines certain matters at first instance, but it can also review decisions of Government Agencies and Statutory Authorities such as the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) and many others.
